Sickness

My mom took Sehara to the beach for spring break and just in time, too.  A day after she's gone I started feeling a tickle in my throat and for me that means Strep Throat -8 out of 10 times.  That night was horrible.  All night I kept waking up because my throat was on fire and I must swallow when I sleep because that was the worst feeling EVER...and I had to work the next day.  Great.
So, Thursday Tim wakes me up to take him to work and ugh... I felt like crap.  A little later I had to go in work as well.  I got there and they took one look at me and basically told me to leave and go to the doctor.  I went home and called the doctor, and they got me in.  Turns out, being pregnant I can't do much except lay down, take Tylenol and drink buckets of water if it's a virus.  The strep test came back negative but they sent if off to the lab to be 100% sure.  My doctor told me to stay in bed for two days.  At this point, my throat feels almost fine so I know it's not strep; which means it's the virus. {insert great news-- I still weigh in at 124/125 lbs, even though I look 130-135!!!}
I don't know how I made it to Richmond yesterday and I definitely don't know how I made it back to Berea, but as soon as I picked Timothy up I was done.  I couldn't even walk by myself.  The worst part was getting hungry because I know that if I don't eat when I'm hungry the chances of me throwing up increase significantly.
So the night passes and I wake up with no sore throat and my face felt fine (it hurt like crazy from pressure) but the only problem was my head and now my husband is sick.  I can't sit up without my head spinning, can barely roll over.  When Tim gets sick, he just gets a little sore throat and a huge headache, even when he had the swine a few years back.  That was at 8:00 a.m., and now, at 4:00 p.m., we are to the point where we can sit up. :) Seems it is getting better.  I have really strayed from taking any medication since I found out we were expecting, but the Tylenol was a must today.  My OB/GYN actually said "no" to it during the first trimester, but we're in the clear now.
Anyway I keep spacing out and I'm getting incredibly hungry again so... until next time.

I Got Married!!

I got married the 14th, on Valentines Day. Isn't that just so sweet? We did the courthouse thing. It was so peaceful... it was just he and I and Sehara, along with my parents and his mom and grandmama. We did pictures, courtesy of Selah Photography and went to O'Charley's to eat. I sooo wanted a steak and got it. Overall, it was the calmest experience I have had in a while. His family adores Sehara and I, as does mine, and I couldn't ask for much more.

Right now Sehara and Tim are at Church and I'm sitting on my bum, experiencing a Huge headache. I've been getting them daily for about a week now. No fun.

Work has upgraded my hours to 20 a week (from 10). I suppose I'm part-time now. The thing is with them, that they send people home early all the time to "save labor". I got 5 hours cut off my week from going home early yesterday. Regardless, it's more than before. I can say that it stinks that I'll have to move out soon due to disrespect (first excuse), then the owners walking away from the house (2nd excuse) because of their financial situation, when I'll finally be able to give them more money monthly. But, I don't think that's going to happen (giving them my $$) because of the lack of reasons I was given. In turn, I think I was the friend that was disrespected the most. I keep care of this house better than they ever did, with a dog. I never thought I would see my great friend send me a text saying we were kicked out, without talking to me first. I think communication is the key to all healthy relationships, and I learned that the hard way. I have been questioning what kind of friend I have invested in the past three years to be smacked in the face. Did I ever really know her?

I called her right away and had to probe every corner of the conversation to get even the littlest reply. You can send those texts, but you can't talk?!? One of the biggest problems, besides lack of respect, was that the utility bill was high (ok, call me so we can discuss it). I don't get that I am the one to get the brunt of the blame when the roommate downstairs leaves the lights on constantly, they hadn't been turned off in three months until I went down to the garage to do it. And she leaves the garage door open all day in the friggin dead of winter, along with using that door as her primary leaving/entering door. Who does that? Yeah, we three upstairs use our fair share of utilities, but we definitely do not abuse it. We are very conservative in that aspect because we know that times are hard. To top it off, I was literally depositing all of my paychecks, minus $20 for gas, into her account for rent/utilities. We both knew that once I graduated it wouldn't be the whole amount, but when the jobs got rolling, it would eventually balance out.

On a more positive note, Sehara has started calling Tim "daddy". We both never asked her to do it. The day we got married, she just started doing it. It's still really awkward, but I guess we'll get used to it. I wonder if the grandparents had anything to do with it? hmm. Married life is so nice. It's not much different, because we were spending all of our time together beforehand, just now it's accepted...lol. We've been going through all of our things to figure out this moving stuff, trying to get rid of the junk for now. I've accumulated quite a bit since I have been on my own. It's my pride that wants to keep it all, I earned it, ya know?

Sick Girl

I have a sick girl home from school today. She has a little stomach bug, threw up all over the place last night. She already feels better now. We're just enjoying a nice Barbie movie right now.
I got a polar pop this morning. They only cost 75 cents, but that's part of my laundry money and I know I shouldn't, but I need one (want one).
This blog is boring, because I really don't do much anymore these days. Life stinks a little.
Oh, Tim and I watched "Wanted" last night, I didn't finish it because I chose sleep instead. It was an online movie, so it took a long time to buffer. That's so lame. I would like to go out and get a few movies, but I don't have the money for it now.
Anywho, that's about it for now. :)

Puppy Pictures :)

Here is my pup, Abraham Lincoln (Pugh). Enjoy...he's shedding right now so I'm not enjoying too much. We're training him to not get on the furniture now, but this is when he did. He's usually pretty good, just chews on things and the occasional accident. We got this big puppy in November, and he was about 4 months old then, so he's about 7 months now. He's funny, really and super lazy, which we enjoy immensely.

Graduation/Job Searching

It's official!! I graduated Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education, minor in Dance. That's pretty exciting, but now I need a good job. The only thing is that I can't really find that good of one right now, because Tim and I will be moving in May, so what would be the point? Currently, all I can find as far a work goes is Taco Bell. It's a job, so I'll take it, for now. I'm not getting many hours there, and I really suck at it so I'm not sure why they hired me (mostly because I get ten hours a week).
I'll be getting married in 11 days. We're doing the courthouse destination wedding thing because we're both not all for attention but we will have a reception in May. I do like a good party. :)
Most of the days I lounge around the house and sleep. I have discovered that I am super good at sleeping. My dog keeps me company all day long though, so I am not completely lonely. He's a little brat. He chews EVERYTHING. At first we let him do a lot of things (not chewing), but like getting on the furniture and stuff, but since the other day and his lets-throw-up-and-pee on the couch episode, no more furniture. I discovered today that it's really inconvenient for me because when he's on the bed or couch, I know what he's doing. Now, I just frantically look around and search for him and whatever his chew toy victim may be.
Oh, I tried the roommate thing while living in this house (besides my roommate downstairs whom I never see) and it didn't work out too well. She was nice, but she brought bugs and a second dog in the house and that didn't fly with the owner. She made me kick her out, which was one of the hardest things I have had to do. I felt absolutely lousy after that. As I should.
Speaking of bugs, so the roommate downstairs suggested we get the house sprayed, and I was all for it, turns out her dad did it and she came upstairs with him. I think she did just to check out the cleanliness of my portion of the house, that hurts my feelings...I am the cleanest person I know. She reported back things I had in my room to the owner, who I used to consider my best friend (I had a wedding dress given to me by another friend and she knew about it, along with the other dog in the back room--that night I was forced to kick the other girl out and Lord knows what else). I felt totally betrayed and have decided to put my efforts of friendship into other people.
Oh, and a random thought, I had a dream today, and I was eating a cookie in this dream. I woke up craving that cookie. We have none in the house so I settled for chocolate.

Summer News

Needless to say, it's been an amazing summer. Well, I am as broke as a joke, but that won't change until I am out of college, so I am not worried too much about it. :)
I met this wonderful guy named Tim. He is literally the sweetest man in the world and I think I have met my equal and it's amazingly easily to say as much.
Good news about my classes is that I passed with an A and a B. Which is amazing for me.
I have a friend that has been staying in and out of my house and she is pretty cool so we're having a blast with that.
That's all for now.

Biking & Classes

Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race. -H. G. Wells
I love that quote. Sehara and I go bike riding quite often and I love it. It's about the only activity I can tolerate doing with her for extended amounts of time. We have about two or three separate paths that we can choose to take. Either we go down Ellipse street and turn on the main road, which has a bike path, go down that until the train tracks, turn around and find the park path and make a big circle through that, end back up on Ellipse and get home. OR we go up Ellipse street to campus and ride like crazy on the quad. There are a few more random paths we have taken: like around the blocks near our house or going farther than the tracks.
Currently, I don't have my own bike, though I hope to get one soon.
On a newer note, I got pretty good grades this semester, meaning I didn't fail any classes. I am so content, I just need to finish up one class, 410, I got an incomplete because of my paper. Obviously, writing has never been my strong point.
Anyway, this is what I have for now. Peace out.

Dreama's Graduation

DREAMA YOU ROCK MY SOCKS..Congratulations girlfriend. You truly inspire me to keep going. I don't know how you have done it (and I'm sure I could give a few guesses) but you have! And that's so stinking awesome.
Sunday was graduation, and not only did Dreama graduate, Ebony did as well. I love Ebony's humor, haha. There is no one like these girls, for sure, so you'll surely be missed. I honestly can't imagine a Berea without you two. I think I'm still waiting for Ebony to come back and I know I am definitely dreading Dreama moving. However, Just like all my earlier blogs, I understand that friends will move on. :) Oh, and even though this isn't the best picture, it is obvious that the dress was absolutely smashing on her. I love it so much.

This cake was actually good..

Wrapping It Up

I am very much pleased right now with my Major courses coming to a close. I passed both of them, finished my exams, and finished my 410 paper. I am not sure if I will pass my two non-major courses though. I do hope to be able to so I don't have to take them again.
AND with the end of the semester comes friends who make their way down another path. Like, leaving me, but it's ok because I expect it to happen.
OH, and I am so stinking excited about the new twilight movie coming out this summer. Ugh, I cannot wait!!!
But, the biggest thought on my mind recently has been religion. I chatted with a friend last night and he certainly gave me some things to ponder- based off how I feel. Sometimes, you just need an outside perspective reiterating what you've said. It helps you dissect the conversational thought.
