Green Thumb Tips

The Black thumb is slowly fading to Green! Like, just the tip, but it is a start. What? What am I talking about? UMMMM, I grew a TOMATO PLANT which is currently and will continue to produce little delicious CHERRY TOMATOES. Until it doesn't anymore.I think tomato plants can usually grow anywhere sunny, but they have NEVER been able to escape MY wrath. And now that I think about it, neither has any other species of green. The only thing I have ever, ever been able to keep alive, besides myself and my daughter is a beta that I bought from Walmart. Like, he stayed alive for a few years. No clue how though.
But he is now deceased. It was a hard death. And we are talking about my awesome GREEN TIP(tip of my thumb)...
Looking back, it really has not been easy. I really had to put Effort with a capitol E to get these plants to stay alive. When I wasn't home for some portions of the summer I had to get some friends, in this case, the Berea Missionaries to water them. In a way I feel Elder Schiefer and Elder George are one of the main reasons my tomato plant has survived!
AND Coach Johnson gave the plants to me out of his garden, which were partially grown anyway. Sooooo, I suppose I received a great opportunity to change my killing spree!
Enclosed are pictures of my very first ripe tomato. Yummy. I shared it with the missionaries for all their hard work!!

Emily

Well, My wonderful child has amazed me again. This time with her quick eye! We were visiting my parents home a few weekends ago and as we were leaving, following the pathway to the driveway she and I both saw something hopping along. It was the cutest baby frog EVER. Together we caught it(poor thing!), made it a home in a plastic container and carried it with us throughout the day. She named it Emily(not knowing whether it was male or female). A few hours after we caught it, I noticed Emily's movement had started to slow down. As in, maybe she was becoming slowly paralyzed(is this possible for a frog?). SO, we released it back into the wild.
Now she is convinced she wants a frog and a habitat to go with it...which is fine by me!!!
(See that mischievous little face? And poor little Emily between her fingers? Never had a chance!)

Throwback

I am so full of random thoughts and sometimes they are pretty fantabulous, so I am going to write (some of) them down! Here's for my first.
Mountain Dew Throwback?! I don't understand!
A month ago or so, I picked up a Mountain Dew at Walmart (just because I fell into the "trap" and it was convenient) while I was checking out and I drank it as usual. BUT, it just so happens that during that night my friend Christina and I took way silly pictures and my Mountain Dew was part of one!
I was looking through the pics trying to weed out the ugly ones and I noticed that my Mountain Dew had Throwback on it...
If it was A Mountain Dew Throwback(and not just an advertisement) that's cool because I did not taste any difference. And the only reason I even care is because some amigos at work were saying that it tasted like poo. Which would not stop me from trying it anyway, but, yeah. This is a random thought so I don't really have to go all philosophical. <3
