The Black thumb is slowly fading to Green! Like, just the tip, but it is a start. What? What am I talking about? UMMMM, I grew a TOMATO PLANT which is currently and will continue to produce little delicious CHERRY TOMATOES. Until it doesn't anymore.I think tomato plants can usually grow anywhere sunny, but they have NEVER been able to escape MY wrath. And now that I think about it, neither has any other species of green. The only thing I have ever, ever been able to keep alive, besides myself and my daughter is a beta that I bought from Walmart. Like, he stayed alive for a few years. No clue how though.
But he is now deceased. It was a hard death. And we are talking about my awesome GREEN TIP(tip of my thumb)...
Looking back, it really has not been easy. I really had to put Effort with a capitol E to get these plants to stay alive. When I wasn't home for some portions of the summer I had to get some friends, in this case, the Berea Missionaries to water them. In a way I feel Elder Schiefer and Elder George are one of the main reasons my tomato plant has survived!
AND Coach Johnson gave the plants to me out of his garden, which were partially grown anyway. Sooooo, I suppose I received a great opportunity to change my killing spree!
Enclosed are pictures of my very first ripe tomato. Yummy. I shared it with the missionaries for all their hard work!!

YAY JENNI!!!! You grew something green... and red!!! I'm so very proud of you!!! Did you really split that tiny little cherry tomato with your missionaries??!! You're silly chicky!!! But I bet it was the best little tomato you ever tasted because it was tended by the tip of your little green thumb!
